MyBioSource.com's Anti-Mouse CD147, Purified (Clone OX114) (rat IgG1) is a Rat monoclonal antibody. The Anti-Mouse CD147, Purified (Clone OX114) (rat IgG1) Antibody was generated using Basigin, basignin, BSG, CD147, CE9, EMMPRIN, M6, and OK as the antigen. It reacts with Mouse. This antibody has been shown to work in applications such as: Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, and Western Blot.

Description

CD147 is a widely expressed membrane glycoprotein (also known as OX47, basigin, EMMPRIN and HT7; expressed on leukocytes, red cells, platelets and endothelial cells) and has been implicated in matrix metalloproteinase induction, cell adhesion, retinal cell development and T cell activation. The transmembrane region has a very high degree of homology between various species, and is identical between chicken and rat. anti-mouse CD147 antibody detects both the two and three Ig-like domain isoforms of the CD147 extracellular region on the surface of transfected HEK293T cells. In Western Blotting, these solubilized cell lysates showed bands at 38 and 50 kDa for domains two and three respectively. This antibody also gave good staining of mouse thymocytes and fixed tissue sections. Only the three domain form interacts homophilically, and this form has only been found in the retina and not in other tissues (ie. brain, lung, liver, spleen). The two domain form associates laterally with the monocarboxylate transport proteins MCT1 and MCT4
